Ok, not everything works the way we want yet… but we have been working on this update for 10 hours now and decided to put online what we have now :slight_smile: So things will have to be tweaked and fixed the coming days… if you see anything strange, be sure to let us know!

Love replying to the news increases post count now :slight_smile: Plus love that you have to be a member now to reply to news.

Found another bug if you look at the windows 7 code has been released news and look at the news thread on the news site it shows this when using a quote:

x1 . That was good feature. If you could remember the number of comments then no need to reopen the item again to see if anymore had been added…

Currently running all maintenance scripts for the forums (rebuilding forum cache, threads, stats etc). Could cause some slowdown. If you see anything strange in the forums, be sure to let me know :slight_smile:

New layout looks good!! :slight_smile: It’s just running SLOW as hell but this is expected since you guys are still tweaking it.

Yes we do :slight_smile: It seems quoting a quoted post doesn’t work at the moment.

Now that you’ve added all of these nifty little features, why not fix the intermittent server response problems?

Those of us that have our birth certificates on papyrus appreciate the two column mode and increased picture size! Bugs will be bugs, but with hardwork and a strong whip, you guys will get r done :slight_smile:

I really like the synching of front page responses/reactions with forum ones. Nice job on that. :slight_smile:

And yeah, seems to have been a few server ups and downs on the forum for me too, but I guess since the merge has only really just happened a few hiccups are to be expected.

Yes, sorry about that all. I was already having friday afternoon drinks but got back to the computer because I heard the server was lagging. I guess it can’t handle all new people taking a look :wink: I tried working on some caching stuff, but that didn’t really worked out because also wrong data is cached. We are aware of the problem but unfortunately we don’t have big bucks to spend a lot on servers as these things are *** expensive.

Unfortunately it’s weekend now, so I hope everything will keep on running at least 2 more days as the “performance guy” is back on monday. Please everybody join me in this prayer :bigsmile:

In the meantime I disabled the yellow avatar+settings box in the right upper corner (only on news & article pages). It will be back when things are back to normal :slight_smile:

I’ll join you in that prayer, 'cos I’m even more cranky than usual if I don’t get my CDF fix :wink:
