CDA files do not play

I tranferred some audio content (from a cassette) to a disk using Audacity software. I saved the file as a .wav. Then I converted this to a .cda file so the disk could be played on a conventional hifi. The disk doesn’t play. Nada. Nothing. The .wav plays OK in Windows Media Player.
If anyone has any suggestions or comments, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks.
Stephen,

You have to burn the content as AUDIO CD, otherwise it cannot work on normal CD players…

First select audio CD (rather than data CD) in your burning software, then drag (or otherwise load) your WAV files into the list to be burnt and press “burn”.
