In Windows, uninstall the drive from the device manager, then reboot. Windows will auto-detect the device and re-install the “driver”. Then see if it works.

I have tried even the above but ib vain it gives me the same error.
I am using cyberkink writing software which came along with the laptop I even tried changing the writing software but same error. The error is asking for an update from roxio inc.
