CD-TEXT Bufferunderrun NERO! HP

vbimport

#1

Running a HP 8210i … For sure I know this writer supports CD-TEXT…

I’ve tried soooo many things to try and get this cd-text to work! Yet near the end of the burning of the cd … the Bar of the buffer will begin to decrease rapidly down to zero then has the error “Buffer underrun”

HELP!

Motherboard = Asus P2b-f

Have you tried another burning software? In order to discard Nero…
Probably it’s a hardware/drivers problem, but…
Can’t you try it in another computer with another operating system?

Maybe something with ASPI layer?
Try Feurio, althought it doesn’t have perfect support for that writer:
http://www.feurio.com/English/Writerdb/Data/hp_surestore8210e.html

I don’t know if you can access an USB drive with the native Win2K interface, but if it works you can discard ASPI problems. Select “DeviceIoControl” in the “Access mode” tab in “Program Parameters” of Feurio CD-Writer.

#5

I’ll try that… I’ve tried this cd writer in my other computer … Diff motherboard… Celeron 433… running Windows xp…

I also use CDRWIN … when writing cd -text it will just freeze near the beghinning of the writing…

#6

Very nice!!! I used Feurio! and it worked with no problems! SWEET

#7

That’s why I always say that Feurio is the best

well, if you used “DeviceIoControl” to burn, then the problem could lie in the ASPI drivers that come with Nero… maybe an older version of Nero will work. Is this the first time you try CD-Text with that burner? or did it work before with other Nero versions?

I don’t know if you can access a USB drive with regular ASPI drivers, like Adaptec’s 4.60 (I don’t think Feurio will work with 4.7x), but if it works with Feurio I think you can configure Nero to use that layer instead of its own ASPI (maybe deleting)… anyway it is said that Nero’s ASPI is better than Adaptec’s. I’d try older Nero’s versions before.
