I have two cd drives in my computer. A standard drive and a burner. They both have started reading all cd as audio cds. When i goto the registry and look at the information on the drives their, their are two sets of info on each drive. One is the normal info, the other set is all jumbled up with odd characters.
Can anyone help me.
This happened to a friend of mine many many moons ago…
The way we fixed it was to swap the positions of the drives around (so the master becomes the slave and vice versa).
Windows thinks it has found new drives and sets up new registry settings for the drives.
Have you tried going into device manager and uninstalling the drives, then rebooting and letting Windows detect them on startup?
