CD-ROM is based on CD-DA, right?

This is really a newbie question, and it’s probably really obvious, but just not to me… CD-ROM, or writing computer data onto a compact disc is based on CD-DA right?

What I mean to ask is, are the sectors that are used to hold data in CD-ROM [picture bellow]

in fact written, 24-byte piece-by-piece, in frames that are also used to hold CD-DA (Digital Audio) data?[picture bellow]

I need this data for school… Thanks in advance.

The data (audio or ROM) is stored the same way on the CD. The difference is how the drive/software interprets the data.
