Cd.r recycling company?

I just thought of it…

Wouldnt there be someone (a company) that would like to get those cd-r that are been right burned (buffer underrun), and recycle them in some way? Couse ive got alot of those cds, and i want to get rid of them.

Is there such a company that is placed somewhere in Europe? (Near Norway)

Some people give them away as coasters, but I suppose everyone has plenty of those by now (either from themselves or given by a friend or relative)

Don’t know if these qualify as chemical waste shrug

Yes, I throw about 1-2 discs every day…in a year it’s pretty much.

Maybe recycling would be a good idea?

We could mail them all to aceman, and he could use them for household siding, and maybe get in the Guiness book of World Records.

There is a company in the UK that recycles CD’s…

Or, if you have a spare microwave-oven, this

Or you can read some other interesting stuff at cdrfaq…

I sometimes use them as frisbee fetch toys for the dog…

sure bad cd’s pile up, but wat about all those aol cd’s?!

AOL CD’s are an abomination… We need to get those extremist enviromentalists to burn down AOL HQ’s like they burned down the ski resorts in Veil, Colorado a few years back… I forgot the name of this group, but they strongly oppose urban sprawl.

Send your coasters here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/2440911.stm

Another few suggestions for used cds
or here

I still collect them… I am planning to make a lamp out of them! I don’t have that many coasters (I hardly produce them, I only did that when I still had my CDD3610;)), but I do have zillions of free CD’s like Compuserve, AOL, Windows 95 (I got about 1000 of those!) etc etc

Hey, I still have mine!
It developed a habit of making one coaster for every three cds burned. :a
Still, it works great as a reader in my old K6 200 MHz computer with Linux on.
