I have a ton of old CD-Rs (HP branded) rated at 12x speeds.
However, when I use CopyToDVD software to do burns, and set at MAX, it detected my burner LiteOn DH-20A4P (CodeKing's f/w) and gave me options for 32x, 24x, 16x.
I chose 32x burn and it came out fine. What potential longer term data problems are there, given that I burned way over the rated CD-R speed ?
Does this mean, the data will die faster on the CD-R?
Thanks in advance.
