CD Printing

I am considering getting an injet printer to print CD’s. I have heard that prints used to smudge badly, but that they have improved alot.

Can anyone tell me how smudge resistant ink jet printed CD’s are are - will they smudge under normal use, or if wiped with a damp cloth, or if run under a tap and rubbed hard?

I am only looking to print black, not full colour.

The only one I know is the Epson Stylus 900.
It is suppose to be pretty good though.

Thanks for your reply.

There are a number of manuacturers, Rimage and Primera are a couple that come to mind, although it was probably the Epson 900 I was thinking of.

Can anyone who has used it comment on how easily the prints smudge?
