I have a 1999 Silverado pickup, 95,000 miles, with a factory Delco radio with a cd player. It has started not wanting to play all the tracks. Dried different CD's to no avail. Was told by one radio shop to use a disc cleaner but other shop said radio probably needs replacing due to age. Disc cleaner costs $20 so hate to buy if chances are good it is near the end of it's useful life. Need advice on what to do. I am thinking of buying I-POD hook up to the radio from Crutchfield to solve problem & have more tunes at the same time. Do you have any experience with this?
Thanks for any help. Mark
