hmmm CDRSAM is Steven B.?
No, I’m Sam Chapple,
I’m the Merchandising Director, now. I have been at CD Dimensions for 11 years. Started part time in shipping, way back when after getting out of the service. Back in the day CD-R for “COLD” storage was the big thing. Computer Output to Laser Disc. Imagine storing your documents to disc?
I’ve been using recordable CDs and DVDs for a long time. My first recorder was (is) a Yamaha 4x SCSI. However I was using them (optical) for audio and video, not COLD storage. Things change
We still offer optical storage devices (disc libraries) however our main focus now is commercial and home use of CD,DVD and recordable Blu-ray. Optical discs have evolved into a means of physical distribution more then anything else. We offer a wide range of duplicators (CD,DVD,Blu-ray, Flash, Cassette), disc label printers and a wide range of media. I try to stay away from brands although I admit we have some Memorex and other brands. Our main brands are Taiyo Yuden, Falcon Pro, SKC, Ritek (back after the royalty issue was resolved), MAM-A, our own brand (MBI), and the proud resellers of JVC Advanced Media AKA JAM
Steve Barnard is our Senior Sales guy and has been with the company 10 years. As a matter of fact all of us have been with the company over 5 years. We all work hard for our clients and we can be contacted by phone, email or chat. We are not always the cheapest because we work on providing low prices all the time: not just for a day. We care and we do “talk” to our clients.
CD Dimensions is honored to be able to participate in the CD Freaks community. I personally have been a lurker for many years and finally registered in 2006 with CD Freaks. I think both Steve and I would say we are no experts, just learners. I certainly enjoy learning and sharing my knowledge on this site. This sub-forum is really the only “place” you may see me (or Steve) discuss anything directly related to CD Dimensions. We respect the forum rules and it just makes things really complicated any other way. If you have a specific question about our company, feel free to contact Steve or myself. I can be PM’d or post in this thread only.
We will also not participate in bashing any other resellers in any way. My grandmother used to say: “people who live in glass houses should not throw stones”. No one is perfect and we are all human
