What iv been wondering is: is there a difference in sound quality when burning with different brand CD-Rs?[/quote]If the burn quality is poor, then the error correction of the player has to kick in permanently, and such may cause sound issues. Not only skips or even inability of playback, but also other distortions.
I want to say “no” because data on the CD-R is exactly the same as the original CD when it is duplicated properly no matter what brand you use of recordable CD. The data is also digital, not analog.
That’s correct and true if the burn quality is good enough.
The burn quality depends on the drive and the blank media. For example, I don’t like the audio CD capabilities of Liteon DVD writers.
