LG CH08 reader
Pioneer BDR-205 burner - V 1.04

Using DVDFAB latest Version 6.2.1.8
Gives error code 122 in the log after abort

Ripping Terminator BD

rips it ok to the folder ~23Gigs

But then won’t burn to 2 different media

Verbatim BD-R 4x 25 Gig or
Imation BD-R 2x 25gig

What gives?

Try burning with ImgBurn outside of DVDFab.

Okay, the Media you use has to be clean, do not Format just place the BD-R as is. Also don’t use the Discs that failed, they are coasters. Check the Link below and understand Files and Folders. For the Blu-ray all you need are Folders BDMV and Certificate. If you need to practice, try Backing up DVD’s. Once you get the concept, then you can graduate to Blu-ray.

Dougofthenorth,

You might have had other software (such as Alcohol) installed that block write access to the drive.

#8

I assumed he was using the Pioneer 205BK to do the burn, and that’s what shows in his log.

Might want to post in the ImgBurn forum and see if LUK has some comments, or do a search in their forum for that error message. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=6

I re-read the original post, and corrected my post.

That status line should say “Empty”

Are you sure it isn’t the media?

Doug, I think you are almost there, like I said you have to use a good clean BD-R, Verbatim preferably. Use ImgBurn in the Build Mode, and Load and Burn Folders BDMV and Certificate.

he probably formatted the disc

don’t format BD-R disc

Sorry for the delay in responding - health issues :frowning:

I tried the Verbatim BD-R 4x discs (BD-R Recordable format V 1.2)

Same deal - DVDFab (Ver 7040)
still gives message
"media not writable"

I have tried a few of these brand new & I did not format them

The Pioneer BDR 205 has latest v 1.04 firmware update.

Same deal with either burning software - DVDFab’s or IMG burn

Fab says "media not writable"
ImgBurn says “disc not empty”
