Ahh, I haven’t gotten it to work. At least, I’d like to know whether or not DVDFab can burn ISO files that it previously created.
So… can it do that? If so, how does one do it?
BTW, why can’t I change the Target when creating ISO files?
When I said, glad you got it to work, I was referring to your success getting it from the HD to a DVD with Imgburn - that’s all.
The way it’s supposed to work, as far as I know, is, in either Full Disc, or main Movie…
- Put the source disk in your drive
- After the disk is opened, click on ISO icon on ‘Target’ line.
- Using Target line drop-down menu, select either HD option or RW Drive option as offered, and press start. (in the case of Main Movie, select desired audio & substream choices first, then press start).
It now should be a 2 pass operation: 1 pass to decrypt the disc, 1 pass to change DVD format to ISO and write it to dest. selected.
This part worked OK for you - only diff was that you altered the HD dest. by changing the default save folder.
DVDFab has been written to work closely with the VSO engine, and one of the ways to do this is called ‘parameter passing’, which in this case, means that when you changed the folder dest. for the HD write, then went to write mode to put it on a DVD, Fab had already passed it’s default to the VSO engine, and the engine couldn’t resolve your change with the supplied info, and kicked out a syntax error (which is similar to a spelling error, and if you think about it for a sec., the default is spelled differently from your selection.)
Would have been far easier if you had gone from source disk to dest. disk at once, rather than the HD first.
Clear as mud?
