Problem: Aspi32 Driver not on Adaptec Web site for Windows 7. I tried to click them on the web site, "Contact Us" & site comes up Service Unavailable"!:
Hi and welcome to the forum
Why do you need ASPI drivers? These should be already installed by Windows so there is no real need to install them.
I was using a freeware "id.exe" which domes from Steve Gibson, of http://www.grc.com/ . He has various little bits of freeware & his main thig is selling Spinrite, a hard disk fixer-upper & secondly Internet security. He inspired me to install a free version of Zonealarm (not produced by his firm.
ASPI was good for Windows 9x. Starting from Windows NT5 (Win2000), ASPI gives more trouble than benefit. If you really want to run ancient software, you may try if Frog Aspi is helpful for your purpose.
OK, I'll quit looking. However, I feel disappointed in the Adaptec website.
This is the 2nd reply...something goofy in this system. This is the last reply & until I do do something that requires a driver, I will frop it.
