Cant Figure Out Whats Wrong... Help!

Im new to the 360 mod scene. I was interested in backing up my games a few months back, so Ive since read just about every tutorial and guide out there, to learn as much as I could about the process. I have purchased all the necessary hardware, and I I believe I have done all the necessary hardware/software tweeks… but I cant get my xbox to read the discs. HELP!

Here is my Info:

- Xbox 360 with Hitachi 47DJ drive, flashed with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision 2 Firmware

 • External Samsung SH-D162C DVD-Drive with Kreon v.81

 • External Pioneer 111D with default firmware (1.23)

 • Xbox Backup Creator v2.3

 • Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x discs

I backed up my game with Schtrom360XtractV3.1 using the Samsung SH-D162C drive, and it seemed to work fine (no errors). Then I opened up my .dvd file in xbox backup creator and burned to Verbatim DVD+R DL at 2.4x. The burn went to 100% and said completed successfully.

When I put the game into my xbox, it starts spinning the disc at a high speed like its about to read it, and then I can hear a clicking sound that sounds like its coming from the laser. It clicks 4-5 times,and then the disc spins down and it says “disc unplayable” in my dashboard.

Here is the log of my burn from Xbox Backup Creator:

I dont know what my next step should be… how do I fix this issue?

After setting the Pioneer 111D to master, rebooting, and using ImgBurn… I was able to get everything working.

thx anyways :slight_smile:

What size external casing should I get for my samsung SH-D162C. The dimensions of the internal drive are as follows:
width = 5.83"
Depth = 7.24"
Height = 1.65"

What size external casing should I get for the drive?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

all internal pc dvd drives are the same size or at least should be … so the external casing should not be a problem only the quality should differ
