[qanda]This thread is about the Lite-On DVD RECORDER DVD+R RW. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I'm using NERO and I was able to burn a movie, erase it, then rewrite a different movie. I've only used the 'Full Erase' option. But when I go to erase the DVD a 2nd time, the disc is not recognized.
I go to the 'erase DVD' section and it won't enable the ERASE button as it did in the past.
When I go into 'My Computer' the disk drive shows the icon that says 'DVD-RW' but when I try to open it to exlpore the disk content, I get 'Please Insert Disk Into Drive E:'
In my confusion, I did some searches for my solution and someone suggested using Alcohol 120% because it had the ability to 'Ignore Illegal TOC (always erase)'
Even that program tells me 'NO DISK'
The DVD-RW brand I'm using is Maxell. I know those aren't the best quality DVD-RW's but I figured I would get to re-use it more than ONCE.
Someone even told me that my burner won't erase because I have a
DVD +RW and it's not a DVD -RW. If that's the case then why was I able to erase the 1st time? I really don't think that's the problem. I have the feeling that the solution is right under my nose but I'm just not getting it.
I would appreciate any help with this problem. The only reason I bought a whole spool of these disks was to specifically re-write random tvshows and movies to watch on my big screen. Being only able to re-write once, makes me want to take the $25 stack of disks and throw them in the trash.
