Can't Burn Two DVD's At Once After Update

I am having a problem burning two dvd’s at once since i updated Nero. I was previously using Nero 7 ultra v.7.0.0.0. I dl’d an update from the Nero website to v. 7.9.6.0. After installing, i cannot burn two at once. The previous version had no problems. Nothing else has changed. After i hit burn, it immediatly says it’s done “DVD-video files sorted” Any idea’s?

From the log appear that DMA is disabled.

Enable it again. This should solve

But would updating Nero have changed that? I used to burn two, before i updated with no problem. I can burn one at a time now just fine, just not the two. I’ll check it and see though.
Also, i am running Sata2 hdd’s, and Sata burners, so would the DMA even be relevant? The only thing IDE is the dvd-rom…
I really don’t think it is a hardware issue. I tried updating Nero on my other machine, and it did the same thing. C2D E6600, 2 gigs ddr2 800, 2-80 gig Sata2 hdd’s (raid 0), 250 gig sata2, 320 gig Sata2, 2- lite-on 16X Sata dvd-rw, lite-on dvd-rom. I could burn two at once before update. After update, Nope. It says done “dvd-video files sorted”.

                                                           Thx

You’re using SATA burners so DMA isn’t relevant as you correctly assume so don’t worry about that.

Create images, then use Imgburn.

Update: I have been playing with Nero, and i cannot burn 2 at once of anything, not just dvd’s, but cd’s to. I tried cd-rom, audio, video, also dvd-rom. If i uncheck smartburn, it still does not burn the disk, but says done, and does not pop up a window saying so. The program locks up and the close button X is not highlighted. I have to close from the task manager to exit. Any idea’s??? I’m going to find a slightly older version of nero, 7.8.x.x, and see if it does the same thing!

You might try the latest version of 6.

I was using Nero 6.xxx. I can’t remember which though. I upgraded to 7.0.0.0 for the enhanced video capabilities. After the switch, I had trouble burning an audio cd. Replacing the mp3pro.dll file in v.7 with the one from v.6 fixed that, but i figured the Nero engineers had a better fix than that, so I went to 7.9.6.0… So here I am with another problem. I am currently dl’ing some older versions to try. 7.7.5.1., 7.5.1.1., 7.2.7.0., & 7.0.8.2. I’m gonna go through them all until i find one that will do everything i need it to without problems, patches, or fixes…there has to be ONE!

nero 7.9.6.0 also created the same problem for me, and some others on another site, went back to 7.8.5.0 and it works again fine.
