Here is the download for ImgBurn. It is my main burning program so I know for a fact that it is not dangerous.
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download Click on any of those mirrors at the top. You do NOT have to check PC for errors. I don’t know where you saw that.
If you want to check your optical drive with the Fix It tool from Microsoft, click on the link in my signature that says Microsoft support for optical drives That may, or may not find anything, but is simple to use. Just click on Fix It at that site and follow instructions.
Fixing DMA is simple in ImgBurn if you want to try that too. Install ImgBurn. Click on Discover. Click on Tools at the top of the main window, then in the drop down box, click on Reset DMA. After following instructions in ImgBurn, reboot the computer.
Hi Kerry56. Downloaded ImgBurn. Here is the log. The last bit of info I received after I manually closed the CD tray and click OK was:
I 21:09:47 Device Ready!
E 21:09:47 CompareImageFileLayouts Failed! - Session Count Not Equal (1/0)
E 21:09:47 Verify Failed! - Reason: Layouts do not match.
I 21:10:01 Close Request Acknowledged
I 21:10:01 Closing Down…
I 21:10:01 Shutting down SPTI…
I 21:10:01 ImgBurn closed!
Other info that occurred prior to the above portion is attached as a screen capture. Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it. I also fixed the DMA in ImgBurn.
