I have Windows XP. Recently, I've been having problem burning cds on Windows Media Player. When I insert the blank disc, it takes a few minutes to recognize it or it doesn't recognize it at all. When it does, it starts calculating the tracks and it gets to the first track and starts finalizing the cd. Then, the blank disc pops out and I get an error saying that my disc is either dirty or I need to try a slower burning speed. I've tried all of this and nothing works. I didn't have this problem until a few weeks ago. So it's not the brand of discs that I'm using. I've had the same problem when I try to burn a cd using other programs also. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanx.
