Can't burn a cd?!

okay well i have been having really annoying problems lately trying to burn a cd. tried it with roxio a few times, nothing. tried nero, nothing.

i get close to the end usually and it just fails.

oh also, it says im on XP, im not, im actually on the RC of windows 7. however, i’ve been on this client for a bit now and burned many cd’s with no issues, just this past week or so i can’t seem to burn a single cd.

anyways here is the log…so if anyone could help…:bow::bow:

anyone? i looked through other forums and tried some of the other solutions, but i can’t seem to get it. i just want a new mp3 cd for my car :frowning:

Hold your horses; it takes users a little while to get around to helping people in their own time. 39 minutes is too soon to think no one will help.

What other ‘solutions’ have you tried?

My first suggestion would be to drop the write speed to 16x or 8x.

My second suggestion would be to try some Maxell-branded CD-R [just a small pack for testing], as maybe you’ve hit a bad spot in your batch of Sony media.

My third suggestion would be to try ImgBurn to write a few files to CD-R, and see if it gives you any more helpful error message [or if it succeeds].

What laptop is this, BTW?

sony vaio nr22oe.

i was thinking it could just be the sony cd-rs as well, but the cd i currently have in my cars deck is the same cdrs im trying to burn and it worked just fine.

i have tried moving it from track at once to disc at once, and dropping the write speed, both didnt do anything different for me
