Cannot reflash my DVR-216D with modified firmware v1.09

I flashed some while ago my burner with the official v1.09 firmware.
Now I used MediaCodeSpeedEdit to increase some DVD+RW writing speed.
The problem is that when launching the flashing tool it tells my I already have that version.
Do I have to downgrade and upgrade the firmware?
And if yes, how?

@ Cr4z33,

Unfortunately you are attempting to use the Media Code Speed Edit tool improperly.

Suggest closely reviewing the “MediaCodeSpeedEdit support for Pioneer DVD-Writers” (http://club.cdfreaks.com/f87/mediacodespeededit-support-pioneer-dvd-writers-153213) Forum posting thread and/or Media Code Speed Edit Home page (http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE) and note the comments concerning applying the “Allow Same To Same Flashing” patch to the Official Pioneer Flasher.

No I am not, in fact there’s no “Allow Same To Same Flashing” into MCSE 1.1.0.22.
I guess I will have to find an older version then.

@ Cr4z33,

There IS in fact “Allow Same To Same Flashing” patch to the Official Pioneer Flasher in Media Code Speed Edit tool.

Evidently you are missing the important point that you have to patch the Official Pioneer Flasher with the “Allow Same To Same Flashing” patch.

You have to patch the Official Pioneer Flasher which is the R216D.Exe file.

My bad I didn’t notice you were referring to the EXE.
Thanks, worked like a charm!
