I've been researching this for about a week now and have not come across any solutions. I have not been able to burn a DVD nor an ISO file. I always get a message that everything burned successfully but the the disk is blank. Zero bytes was written, so now joins my stack of coasters. So far, I have tried DVD Decrypter, Image burn, and Nero 7. All with the same result, successful burn, but a blank disk. I've reduced write time to 4X and I've used multiple DVD+R's TDK and Nexxstech. The Nexxstech are new, however I Have been using the TDK's for sometime now with mostly not problems. At this point, I even bought a new burner to rule out that the burner was old and faulty. I've updated the firmware for both the old and new burner and still nothing works. So far I think I have covered every advice I have found on different forums. As of now, I can only think of possible two things that could be causing the issue; a virus of some kind or iTunes disabling the drive. And why iTunes you ask? I've had issues with iTunes screwing up DVD burns before, but not to this extent. In the past my Trend Micro would catch the install of the gearworks and allow you to prevent it from installing, which resolved my previous burning issues. With the latest version of iTunes, Trend did not catch this and gearworks installed. I've since tried to delete any traces of it, however still no luck. Now I'm left with trying to uninstall iTunes or reinstalling my entire operating system. I would rather find out what is the problem and fix it a different way which is why I'm writing this post. I cannot express how much appreciation I would have if anyone can figure this one out.
