Can only burn at 1x Maxell DVD-RW

This is my first attempt at burning RW I am only able to choose 1x when writing to these Maxell DVD-RW. I thought this media was on the preffered list. Anyone else having trouble with these?

Is this a 1x or 2x disc? If it is 1x why should you be able to burn at 2x?

I don’t know. There is no mention of write speed rating on media, the jewel case, or the box.

EDIT- after going to the maxell site I found it is 1x media

LOL :bigsmile: I too have yet to find a DVD-RW disc that works at 2x in my Plextor drive. 2x DVD-RW media is really hard to find here…
