Can My DVD Drive Burn DVD+R DL CD's?

All i see for information for the drive is.

PIONEER DVD-RW DVD-R-110D ATA Device

Thank you! Let me know if you need more info and how i can get it!

Thanks :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, it can burn dual layer DVDs.

If you plan to get some, do you have access to Verbatim-branded DVD+R DL?

There is no such thing as a dual layer (DL) CD. DL (dual layer) applies to DVD. I realize that you probably meant DVD but I think it is important to correct these mistakes just incase you did not know. It will help you in the future when searching on Google and on forums if you get the terminology correct.

It’s supposed to, but your drive is quite old and probably will choke on today’s DL discs.

MysticEyes is correct in that most modern DL media probably won’t work well in this old a burner. One exception to that might be the slower speed Verbatim +R DL disks, mid code MKM 001. You will be able to identify them by their rated speed which is 2.4x to 6x.

The newer Verbatim DL +R disks are 8x, and I doubt they would be a good match for this burner.
