If you see any signs of swelling down there, it would be wise to stop using the laptop immediately…certainly don´t go near the internet, but get it attended to!
More seriously, I don´t think modern flat screens emit any radiation…not like the older CRT types anyway.
EDIT: Here´s the low-down on the radiation emitted by a CRT monitor…check it out: using a CRT monitor for one year will give you the equivalent dose that an arm x-ray will…so…nothing to worry about, and a laptop will be FAR less if anything at all.
O/T. Hmmm. Within the last 6 months I’ve had 5 chest CT scans, 1 full body CT scan, 1 head CT scan, 1 Bone scan (where they inject istopes into you), numerous chest xrays and two weeks of radiation treatments. I was trying to figure out where I would be in the scheme of that chart but it’s probably better I don’t know. Somewhere between Chernoblyl and Fukashima would be my guess.:Z
@tomoyoafter. I wouldn’t be too conderned. Probably less than standing beside a microwave.
