Can I use dial up on Comcast's phoneline?

I have Comcast TV, Highspeed Cable Internet, and VOIP phone service.

Without getting into the reasons why, I’d like to also use an additional dial up service. Will it function properly on Comcast’s phone line?

Comcast is cable right?
if i’m thinking yes…then…no you don’t have a dial up service with them…but you can get dial up through your local phone company…your voip works with your broadband/cable connection not a phone line…

if that helps any…

I have Comcast’s VOIP service. It looks like a regular phone line. But from what you told me, I guess dial up and VOIP service, don’t go together.

It will work. Probably not at full 56K speed, but it will work.

you would be receiving your dial-up connection through your broadband connection. :frowning:

Without getting into the reasons why, you like to also use an additional dial up service, why not just use your broadband connection. the dialup would be stealing bandwidth anyway. and at a much slower transfer rate.
