Fox is also broadcast over the airways for free, if someone really wanted to watch the World Series they could simply hook up a external TV-Antenna / also its Free HDTV at that / Also a TV-Antenna that can receive traditional Analog TV Signals, is NOT different than an Antenna that receives Digital-HDTV Signals./ However your TV must have a digital tuner.

Ssshhhh! If more people knew that they could receive FREE HD TV programming Over The Air, combined with what they can stream from the Internet (free & w/ inexpensive services like Netflix/Hulu), they would ditch cable altogether! How do you expect these cable companies to stay in business? I mean they were going to raise rates next year anyways, now News Corp. has given them the perfect excuse.

You are correct and I am one of those people not getting Fox on Cablevision, I blame Fox for this, they are greedy and using customers as pawns, Cablevison agreed to arbitration, Fox declined. Bad for business in my opinion.
