Version 0.4.1 Release

This is still alpha software, but the ISO 9660 image creation seems to be relatively solid with this release. Other improvements include the ability to process MP3 files without an ID3 header and GUI improvements in both the CreateDataDisk and CreateAudioDisk interfaces.

Version 0.4.2 was released tonight. This version adds support for the Joliet extensions to ISO 9660. This version also fixes a bug with filenames that contained unicode characters. This bug surfaced when burning both data CDs (ISO 9660 + Joliet) and audio CDs (MP3s with unicode chars in filename).

As always, this is free and open source software. Both the installable software and the source can be found at http://bwgburn.sourceforge.net.

This software is designed for Windows XP and dotnet 2.0.

This release adds to ability to control the burn speed, adds support for DVD-RW media, fixes problems with on the fly creation of ISO images (CreateDataDisc), fixes problems with some drives giving an “INVALID FIELD IN PARAMETER LIST” error with CD-RW media, and speeds up the burn process overall.

This release mostly supports Windows Vista Beta 2 for those that have early access to this release. There are a few small issues with the GUI that can be worked around and do not exist on .NET 2.0 on Windows XP. I believe they are either bugs in the Windows Vista/dot net implementation or something I need to learn about Windows Vista that I do not currently understand.

Thanks

I have just released BwgBurn 0.6.1. This version adds a copy disk program for copying non-copy protected disks. This is a very new program to use it with caution.

Also several bugs were fixed:

[ul]Fixed a bug with ISO images that did not start at sector 0 (multisession ISO images)
[/ul]

As always, BwgBurn can be found at http://bwgburn.sourceforge.net and as always it is free and the source can be found at the same location.

Please do not create a new thread for each update, it may be considered as spam if you do.

I have merged all threads regarding this program, so it is easy to keep track of all changes and updates.

This version fixes several bugs and adds support for BluRay BD-RE disks. As always, bwgburn is free and the source is avaiable as well.

(Look for BD-R in the next release.)
