Ok i left it to run while i slept and it said burn process complete but i still had a disc that wouldnt work. I am a total new to this and to computers, So forgive me on any questions i might ask and not sure how to chwck my chip set so if you can tell me how ill add that also. Thx for the help

Finding chipset is easy. Just go to device manger in windows xp , right click my computer and then properties . Then go to Hardware tab and then device manager. Then look under IDE atapi device write the three things out . Also I seen you did neverwinter nights did it work fine ? well keep us posted also check in primary and secondary channel to make sure you are using dma 2

Gio

Ok Gio I think i got the info you needed here it goes. And no the copy of NWN was a flop it didnt work. Heres chip set info:

Primary IDE channel
Device 0
Transfer mode: DMA if available
Current transfer mode: Ultra DMA Mode 5
Device 1
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current transfer mode: Ultra DMA Mode 5

Secondary IDE channel
Device 0
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current transfer mode: PIO Mode
Device 1
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 2

VIA Bus Master IDE Controller

Ok thats what was listed in the are you told me to look in Is that what ya wanted to know.

Secondary IDE channel
Device 0
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current transfer mode: PIO Mode
See if you can’t change this to DMA. Just hit the drop drown and change to DMA

This annotation in the log may very well be the problem and is being worked on right now, but at this point in time only the Plextor Premium seems to be able to handle it. So I am going to make a couple of other suggestions to get you to hopefully get you a working back-up.

go right here and look under the BW5 link and look for Old V4.57 Download it and give it a try. This will let you get the BWA seperate or you can download one, but this may require two disks one with the BWA and one without for play and install. Or you could make the BWA and Image with BW4 and write it with BW5, but you’ll have to download the tweaker.

This may be a little more suitable but more complicated so here is a link on how to do it with clonecd try this and see if you can do it this way

Ok thx i apreciate it
