I bought a Buslink DVRW812D from MicroCenter a week ago and it is a rebadged Liteon LDW-811S. It shows up as the Liteon in hardware manager and with all the tools I use, such at LiteOn IT KProbe, and Nero. Nowhere does it say Buslink except on the physical label on the unit.

Buslink used to have the LiteOn sticker on top of the drive, but they also usually use stock LiteOn firmware, so it should show up as a LiteOn in your system.

there’s a “rebadged” post somewhere on this forum. i remember reading it. it tells you how you can tell what drive is box just by looking at the part number. most buslinks were lite-ons but you can tell if it’s a 811 or an 851. i’ll have to find it again.
