[qanda]This thread is about the Samsung SH-S203D / TS-H653D. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Hi there,
I haven't seen many posts talking about concerns for burner selection for creating Xbox 360 backups, so hopefully this will open up some good discussion.
I am using current process:
Rip using Samsung SH-D162C w/ Kreon Firmware.
(Rips were confirmed good using abgx360 software.)
Burned using Samsung SH-203D Writer & ImgBurn at 2.4x and 4x
(also tried using CloneCD at 2.4x)
Keep getting coasters (White screen w/ Xbox 360 logo)
I was told by someone that their getting success with this same process, but using Pioneer DVR-216D burner rather than the Samsung.
Could this me a burner-type issue? What else could be goind wrong here?
Anyone have success w/ the Samsung burner?
I seem to be out of alternatives and wondering if it's worth buying the Pioneer drive. I have heard mixed opinions about whether the writer makes a difference.
Any help would be appreciated.
