Burning WMA-files to an audio cd

vbimport

Are there any program out there that can convert Windows Media Files into regular audio cd tracks?

#2

yes…

there are a few. In my (and many others) opinion dBpowerAmp (http://www.dBpowerAmp.com) is the best. Furthermore it’s easy to use, fast, and…
it’s free !!! (no cracks, patches or keygenerator needed).

You should download and install the application AND
the WMA codec to be able to convert
WMA -> wave, WMA -> mp3, wave -> mp3, wave -> WMA, mp3 -> wave and mp3 -> WMA.

for creating mp3’s they use LAME or BLADE encoding,
which are the best around…

Doesn’t the newest Nero do the job ?..thought so…

#4

no it doesn’t. at least my 5.5.1.8 which I think is the latest version…

For Nero to write WMA you need an elusive codec, they just omit to tell you where to download this codec!!!

Conversion from WMA to WAV is not offered by the mentioned programs if the WMA file is ‘protected’.
And most are.

Try to find an old copy of Cooldecode, it has worked for me.

Just in case: do you know where to get the codec you mentioned?

http://msvaus.www.conxion.com/download/winmediatech40/wmfsdk71/7.1/w98nt42kme/en-us/wmformatsdk71.exe

Try this for the sdk plugin needed. Unfortunately you must register.

Also download wmp 7.1 from the ms site
