I started to have this problem a while back, and I can't figure out why... I'm not trying to make a VideoCD or Video DVD. I just want to burn some .avi files as I would normally burn data files.
The problem is that Nero takes forever, on my Toshiba Satellite 5205-S704 (with a Toshiba SD-R6012 CD/DVD writer).
Last nigth it took 8.5 hours to burn 4 Gb to a Data-DVD project.
I start it to have this problem around the time I upgraded to version 5.5.
The files are stored on an external Firewire Hard Drive which performs great for video capture and editing.
I have the problem with any media.
Another detail, I have CloneCD on that Computer, BlindWrite and Alcohol 120.
I was wondering if the Patin-Couffin driver could be conflicting or maybe one of the programs mentioned above, or I don't know what.
Keep in mind that it happens with CDs and DVDs.
I have no problems when I burn images.
When I use the Virtual Drive on Nero, I don't get the delays.
And, I have no viruses.
Thanks for taking your time to read all this information.
