Burning problems with GSA-H22N

CD, DVD and (Ultra HD) Blu-ray Writers LG burner

Hi,

I have a problem with LG GSA-H22N DVD Burner when burning, no matter what burning speed I choose in the burning menu the burner burns at speeds of 1.1X - 1.4X and thus it takes me a very long time to make data backup discs.

Some info:
LG GSA-H22N DVD Burner (Don’t know which firmware)
Nero 8
AGFAPHOTO DVD-R 16X 4.7GB Discs
And I burn in UDF Format.

Did I write enough info? How can I solve this very annoying problem?

Check the DMA settings of your drive.

Sorry for the huge bump, I haven’t been able to reply earlier.

I changed the DMA settings as you suggested but still no change, every burn takes a very very long time at a very low speed, is there anything else I can try? Maybe the cable itself is faulty?

Post the result of the Nero CD-DVD Speed burst transfer test, you need a disk with some data in the drive to run the test. It should display about 23 MB/sec.

Get a new cable, and 80 pin and try again, also if you have another device on that cable, disconnect it.

Hello, sorry for the huge bump, I switched to another cable and the problem still remains (even worsen), I dont have any other device connected on the same cable.

I’m becoming desperate, what can I try next?
