Burning multiple dvd's in one disk

I am trying to copy my home dvd’s to a blank media. The dvd’s from my sony camcorder has about 1.3GB. I was thinking I could fit 3 dvds in one 4.5 regular DVD’s.

Does anyone know how I would accomplish this? Any software that is easy and cheap? Somebody told me that I could use dvd shrink…but was not sure how you would do it. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum

You can use dvd shrink only if your camcoder movies are in dvd video format, i.e. are a set of ifo, bup and vob files.

What format are your movies? If they are avi you can’t use dvd shrink

Try this guide: http://www.dvdshrink.info/compilation.php

Thankyou. I have not looked to see what the format is. But the dvdshrink info and guide looks very promising. I will get on to it this week.

okie man - You can do that with windows movie maker. Download your home movies
to your hard drive. Author them with movie maker or mydvd or whaterver authoring
program and burn to DVD.

Thanks for the tip. I had the same query and followed the Dvdshrink lead to put two video files output from my Sony camcorder on one DVD. It worked well.
