Hi
Welcome onboard duvkata. :iagree:
I don’t really look at logs (maybe I should, but just get bored )
You could try Nero 8.1.1.4 though. 8.1.1.3 never made the official download page, although it is a genuine version. I had several niggling probmes with 8.1.1.3 myself.
Perhaps some eagle eyed mod () could have this moved to Nero section, for a better response.

well even these old eyes see something bad wrong here

but since the burn almost finished I’ll go take a nap and wait for the nurse to bring my meds?

however you might try and reduce the burn speed to 8X

Well I dont understand much of Nero and DVD recorders, can you tell me whats wrong and maybe how can I fix it ?

Hi
Your DMA is set to off.
You need to re-enable it.
See here:
Hi

See here:
So do you think that this was the problem and if I enable it its going to be all right ? I only know that it means direct memory access nothing more

WOW something very weird is happening.I have no Primary or Secondary IDE channel in the IDE ATA/Atapi controllers.I only have nVidia nForce IDE controller which has no options for turning DMA on when I search in its properties.

Hi
If your devices are not operating in DMA mode but PIO. It affects speed. While dropping speed can overcome some problems. Your setup will best work with DMA enabled.
It is fairly straight forward to do.
For more on DMA etc.
Look here:

If all else fails check drive, cleaning it using a cleaning disk might work.

Hi
I have a nForce based mobo & use Vista. I still have DMA settings.

However you could uninstall the the drives & controller.
Reboot & let windows reinstall them.

Hey that really worked ! I removed the nVidia nforce IDE controller and now I have primary and secondary IDE channels. Now I have to restart enable DMA then restart again and I will try to burn a DVD.Then I will tell you what was the result

Hi
Fingers crossed.

zeba, you are using good nvidia drivers

his are confusing windows and nero

he’s using dma tho or he wouldn’t have written 95% in 7 minutes

Hi
I am using latest official nVidia drivers (not beta).
Like I said, I am too lazy too study logs.
Although the DMA off was early in the listing.
Yeah it might be worth using MS drivers in this case instead of nVidia ones.
7 minutes. Yes, you’re right. If in PIO mode it would be a lot longer.

Zedabee thank you so much my friend it worked.I thought that there is not a big chance but you can never know. And the most important thing is that I really needed to get things fixed because I have to make a full format very soon and without my DVD it would have been impossible. Thanks again.

Hi
You are welcome. :iagree:
Glad you got there.
