Well, I have a slight problem. For the longest time I have been burning copies of DVDs that I own. Yes, I do own them. I am making a single back-up copy so I can watch that copy and not wreck my original.
I have a MacBook Pro that is two years old with Leopard 10.5.4. I'm using Mac the Ripper 3.0 R14d to rip them and DVD2ONE to shrink them down to a 4.3GB file. I use Toast Titanium 8.0 to burn them. I was using Dynex DVD-Rs for the media, but as of late, they no longer seem to be working.
The problem I have is this: I can burn the image to the disc just fine and I can play it back on my computer just fine, until I eject the disc. If I try to put the disc back in the computer, it tries to load three times and then ejects the disc.
I don't think it was the Dynex discs because I have burned over 400 DVDs and never had a single problem and then it just started happening. I figured that the DVD burner was just wearing out, but Apple replaced the drive and everything works fine as long as I use a format of disc other then Dynex.
Why would a format of disc, while I'm half way through a spindle, just stop working like that and every disc of that format won't work anymore? I tried discs from the other 4 spindles I have, and none of them would work either. I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I think I gave ya'll all the info you would need. If you do need more, please let me know. Thanks!
