Hello! 1st post and a newb. I was wondering if this is even possible…
I would like to rip a dvd (i’m using DVDFAB) then burn it to a blank DVD+R
in hopes for a ‘clearplay’ dvd player to recognize the DVD and be able to use the filters.
So far when i’ve done this under dvdfab’s ‘full disc’ option the movie isn’t recognized once put into the player.
I’m assuming i should use dvdfab’s ‘clone’ option to make a dvd 9. However, i don’t have any DL discs at the moment and don’t want to go spend the money on them unless i can find out (hopefully) first if it will work. (i’m thinking if i do this then the player will recognize the dvd)
Let me explain the technology of a ‘clearplay’ dvd player to the best of my ability, if you’re not familiar.
Ok so instead of actually editing a movie, lets say ‘the matrix’ www.clearplay.com has what they call ‘filters’. You can download them onto a usb drive. It’s only like 1mb for 2,000 movie filters. You plug the drive directly into the dvd player. The program that runs a menu where you can set up the amount of editing that takes place at your own discretion. For example, taking the lords name in vain to some editing or most editing of nudity. So from your preferences the dvd is recognized, the filter is loaded and you can watch the movie the way you would like it.
I’m just having trouble making a burned dvd that the player will load the filter for…
thanks for your help in advance…
