Burning Double Layer DVD data on Normal DVD

I have just downloaded the complete openSUSE 10.3 Linux Box version the data for which needs two double layer DVDs which are very expensive in my area. I can afford the normal DVDs. The data is as follows:

<LI class=“folder last”> openSUSE10.3__32-Bit+64-Bit__(the box) [ul]<LI class=folder> openSUSE10.3__DVD-DL-1__32-Bit+64-Bit
[li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part01.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part02.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part03.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part04.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part05.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part06.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part07.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part08.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part09.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD1.part10.rar (77.76 megabyte)[/li][li] LIESMICH-openSUSE-10.3.txt (189 bytes)[/li][li] README-openSUSE-10.3.txt (177 bytes)[/ul][/li][li] openSUSE10.3__DVD-DL-2__32-Bit+64-Bit [ul][/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part01.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part02.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part03.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part04.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part05.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part06.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part07.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part08.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part09.rar (683.59 megabyte)[/li][li] openSUSE-10_3-DVD2.part10.rar (180.92 megabyte)[/li][li] LIESMICH-openSUSE-10.3.txt (189 bytes)[/li][li] README-openSUSE-10.3.txt (177 bytes)[/ul]
[/li]Is there a way to burn this data on normal DVDs and be able to install the operating system? If so please inform me. Thanks:doh:

You should be able to build a bootable image with Imgburn for that Linux distro.

Where did you get these files?

For what I know at OpenSUSE website you can download ISO files to be burned on regular DVDs, and not a RAR splitted archive

Take a look here

I never heard about a DL version of the OpenSUSE distro, but there is a regular DVD version (4.1 GB) available.

I got the files from www.mininova.org where someone has complied everything, updates, OSS, Non-OSS and all other things uptill now into these two disks. So you dont have to be online all the time to install the OS instead you can simply install the complete OS offline and comfortably.

Ok, so it is a customized compilation of the system

I suggest to get the official installation DVD, because this also doesn’t require to be online to install the system

I installed OpenSUSE 10.2 from the DVD with no need to be online (except for updates of course).

Just to add, I believe you will want to extract those files and use build mode to create a bootable image.
