Burning cd "writer error"

I am trying to burn a CD using different software, i’ve tried nero, burn4free, real player, and windows media player, and they all give me the same error saying “writer error”.

I got a log from nero so i was wondering if anyone can help me. Thanks in advance…amanda.

Do you’ve tried to enable DMA and what for media brand do you’ve used?

Can you post the full error log?

the dma on your burner is off see this guide
if it wont help then check dma settings in bios , anyway 48MB free ram might also be another reason for the burn to fail but even if not 48MB is unacceptable you got alot of ram and you should have much more free i suggest youll use msconfig and disable all unnecessary programs from startup also check ram usage using ctrl+alt+del see what programs takes too much ram and get rid of em and maybe find a replacement, i dont think its related but your nero is old get the latest im sure it have tons of bugfixes
