Burning Audio Books to CD

Hi Folks, this is my first time in a forum so I hope you will go very gently with me.

I am quite new at burning to CD and have just started to burn some Audio Books (MP3 format) to CD so that I can play them back on a portable MP3 player. Every time I burn a track to the CD I lose the first 50/60 seconds of the track and cannot work out why this is happening. The remainder of the track that is burnt to the CD is of good quality and there are no other problems with the recording. I have burnt a number of Music MP3 (some ALBW’s and some straight MP3’s) and they work fine.

Any advice on how to get the full track burnt to the CD would be great.
