I am a professional DJ who often gives demos to my prospective clients. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing a lot of headaches trying to insure that my disc will always play for my prospective client.
I always create a master on my computer, and I then burn it with Soundforge, using the track markers to split the disc into tracks. After I create the master, I then use Nero to copy the disc.
I burn in Nero using the disc to disc CD-R copy at 16x. I am using an HP 1070D burner.
I ran some burn tests on discs, they seem pretty good
Elapsed time: 2:27
Number of samples: 4495
Average scanning interval: 1.04 sec
Glitches removed: 1
But yet my discs are still not readable on many cd players. My friend can't play it in his 2006 Boxster, another friend can't play it on his Denon 1800 (older model!) Dual DJ CD Player or his Bose Wave Radio. I can't play it on my Phillips MC235 bookshelf system at home, but it plays fine in my Pioneer Premier car stereo and my Playstation 3. So, I guess I am having a hard time understanding what the factors are behind making my CD playable in the most number of CD players? Is it the brand of disc? My burner? Burn speed? Or is the effort worthless, and certain players just don't play nice with discs burned on a computer?
Thanks for your help in advance!!
