Okay, so I started to burn a DVD with ImgBurn and it spun up to write the lead-in and never came off that status. It stayed at 0% but I could see that it was writing as both the HD light was on and the DVD light was on. You know how you can "hear it" writing.
Anyway, it never stopped.....LOL I'm serious. It just kept going and going and going...... and going, all the time saying it was at 0%. I could not cancel it nor could I ctrl-alt-del and cancel the process. I tried to press the button to open the tray and nothing.... just spinning away full speed. I tried to shut down the computer..... still spinning full speed. This went on for over 16 minutes according to the ImgBurn screen. My only other choice was to actually have to pull the power plug... not even pressing the power button did anything.
Now, have you ever seen this happen before?
When I went to boot, it wouldn't post. I tried again an it did post but then I got a BSOD. Tried to boot again and I'm up, but I haven't tried burning anything else yet.
Do you think it was a fluke or is this a sign of something? I have an LG SATA Model GH22NS30. I was going to buy the Pioneer DVR-116DBK SATA.
So any idea why this happened? Is it the burner or ImgBurn or maybe some type of random fluke?
Thanks so much for your help, everyone!
