[qanda]This thread is about the Asus DRW-2014L1T. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]My burner claims it’s capable of burning DVD-R & + at 20x. I use 16x media. While burning a dvd the highest it gets up to is 10x. I have DMA enabled.

There are many factors that effect burn speed.
The main one is the disk . Just because it says 16X on the disk does not mean your burner will write it at that speed.

The burner firmware will limit the burn speed if it determines the disk is better written to at a lower speed.

Experiment with different brands of disk until you find one your burner is happy with.

its a combination of media and drive firmware. nothing to do with dvdfab.

lets use a program called Nero CD-DVD Speed
http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=4570&s=446

insert your blank media into the drive and open cd-dvd speed then click on DISC INFO TAB. this screen will tell us what speeds your drives firmware supports for the blank dvd. click on COPY TEXT. then past it here for us to see.
