Burn Processed Failed @ 1% always

Hi,

I’ve been using Nero 6 with updates for sometime now and i’ve not had too many problems, however, recently my burner will not work with Nero anymore.

I’ve burnt cd’s with Win Media Player but when I try and burn with Nero it gets to 1% and fails… WHY???

I’ve not changed or installed anything new so why so suddenly is it playing up. Here’s the error log from my most recent burn attempt:

Any ideas???

Replies in simple terms if possible please, I’m not up with all the jargon.

Thanks alot guys… this is doin my head in!!

I’ve upgraded to Nero 7 by the way, and still the same problem :frowning:

I did not see the firmware mentioned, you might want to check & see if there is an update. Try using better blanks, like Taiyo Yuden (TY), or Verbatim. You also have a lot going on, you might want to look at freeing up some system resources. I would also suggest looking in to a program like ImgBurn (free), to burn your ISOs. Through ImgBurn you can check for a firmware update as well, ImgBurn/Tools/Drive/Check For Firmware Updates.

So use Imgburn for ISO’s? What about making a DVD or burning DVD files, can I use Imgburn for that?

I wanted to fix the problem with Nero to be honest, not use something else. I just dont understand why it doesnt work. I have the latest Firmware by the way, and my burner worked fine with Nero right up until last week when it decided to stop working.

Any ideas on a fix?

Yes, use the BUILD MODE.

What’s BUILD MODE?

Use IMGBURN, read the guide of it.

CTRL+ALT+B -> BUILD MODE

ImgBurn guides.

OK, thanks guys, i’ll try that.

Any ideas how to fix my Nero tho?

If you read post #2 & get everything done, you can give Nero another shot if you want.
