Please help guys this is really starting to give me the shits. I thought it was fixed but obviously not.

And just as a note, yes i am using the correct sort of dvd disks. It happens on both DVD+R and DVD-R

Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

Your 1620 doesn’t like these disks. The 1620 is getting a bit long in the tooth now and many newer disks may not be recognized correctly by it. If you want to continue using this drive, I suggest getting Taiyo Yuden 8x +R blank media from rima.com or supermediastore.com if you are in the US. 8x Verbatim, either -R or +R would also work, and even the 16x Verbatim is probably a good choice. I have a 1620 and some Verbatim 16x +R, so I will make a test burn and get back to you in a minute.

You should also slow down the burn speed. You are burning at 16x in this log.

The Verbatim 16x +R worked just fine in my 1620. I used ImgBurn at 8x.

The TRT scan was perfect, but the quality scan had a big pile of PIE errors at the end of the video. This particular batch of Verbatim isn’t the best one I’ve ever had, but still perfectly usable.

I prefer to use Taiyo Yuden 8x +R in that old drive, though I rarely use it anymore except for the occasional scan.

Thanks mate that worked a treat.

Im not a noob at computers, i build them for friends family and a little side cash, and i didnt even know that the blank media could be better than the drive.

Thank you so much for your help
