Burn Errors (Data Verification Failed)



HI, i try to backup some files & iso with my nec 3520 on a dvd+rw 4x philips with nero.

The burning process is normal but the Data Verification Failed. When i tryed to copy files from the dvd+rw i have redundancy cyclic errors.
I tryed to burn a 2.4X but i have same errors :confused:

last firmware (3.04)
last aspi
A64 3000+
Gigabyte K8NS
nForce3 250 i read there is lot of errors with this chipset :sad:
DMA enabled (bios & windows)

I make some test, i dont know what does it mean

seam to benormal

look if there is dirt or spots on the disc surface.
Clean it then make a long format and retry to burn it


the disc is really clean, i tryed to format but always sames errors :sad:


I think you have to try another similar media…


Nero is notorious for giving Verification Failures especially the newer versions, when in fact everything is ok.

I suggest you search the forums, and you’ll find this is quite common.



You can try CD check, a program that makes a CRC check on the files and compares it with the files on DVD.

It’s more accurate than nero data verification.
