No, but this, could be the problem…Most likely the drive doesn’t like the media…What is it? Maybe a firmware upgrade may (or not) help…
“Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)”
So try better media (drum roll please) Verbatims,TYs,maybe some Sonys…
And frankly, though DVDshrink is still a very good tool to have in the toolbox, you may want to use something newer(constantly updated ) to backup your flicks… Try, DVDFab HD Decrypter>Shrink>Imgburn…Course I’m not saying you can’t use ner0 to burn, I simply prefer IMGBurn…
Well, DVDShrink doesn’t have a burn engine so do you have Nero installed? What brand of disk are you using? What other burning software do you use? What speed are you burning at?
Crap media!
Use Verbatim.
i have nero, sonic and dvd santa none of them are working.tried to use verbatim discs have tried burning at x4 still not working.could it mean my writer is broken ?
i have tried verbatim discs and tried using imgburn still no luck
I merged your two threads sheena69, since they seem to be on the same subject.
Your drive may indeed be dying on you.
if all other programs are having this issue check the transfer mode of the drive and make sure it is in DMA mode, if it is then as t0nee1 stated check to make sure the firmware is up to date for the drive.
