Not 100% sure if I am posting in the correct place. I work for a skydiving center and the owner has asked me to come up with a solution to a problem... I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
Each weekend our freefall cameramen video about 50 to 100 student videos. After each jump they do a quick 5 min edit and burn a DVD for the student. We would like to put all these videos up on YouTube, and we are looking for the best solution.
What I would like to do, is while the cameraman is burning the finished, edited video to the DVD burner, it is also copying to a central, networked harddrive. From there we will have software written to handle the bulk uploads to YouTube.
What I would like advice on.... What is the best and most streamlined way to have the videos automatically copy to a networked harddrive, while the DVD is burning to a DVD disk. This might be happening at 5 or 6 editing stations simultaneously.
Any advice on logistics/hardware/software would be much appreciated.
